Civil Rights

Every governmental entity knows the significance of civil rights litigation.  This firm has been actively involved in defending hundreds of cases involving every aspect of governmental litigation, including jail and law enforcement liability.  Those cases have included allegations of the use of excessive force, including deadly force, police pursuit, tasers, batons, handcuffing, search and seizure, suicide, medical conditions and jail conditions.  We have also handled cases involving First Amendment allegations of political and religious expression, political patronage and affiliation.  We have handled these cases in the United States District Court for the Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma in addition to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
